Understanding Hypnosis |
A competent hypnotist, working with a willing client, can creat apparent miracles. Relaxation can be induced to relieve pressures of stress at home, at work or to alleviate insomnia; habit problems can be brought under control, whether smoking, overeating, alchohol, drugs or unwanted mannerisms. Hypnosis, often under a physicians referral, has proven effective in countless physical or mental illnesses, dealing with phobias, degenerative conditions, anesthesia requirements (pain control), and especially attitude modifications (personal development; self-esteem, confidence, motivation, etc.) Hypnosis can create the all important positive attitude necessary for healing. |
Hypnosis is rather unique in its ability to ferret out causes of problems even when the causing event, experience or trauma has been suppressed, repressed or forgotten. In the light of understanding, appropriate hypno-analysis can be undertaken to resolve, explain or otherwise deal with the problem. The sessions do not go on week after week, like other forms of conventional talk therapy. Results with hypnosis can be as fast as one hour. Procedures which fail to deal with causing factors often prove to be "band-aid" therapies. Healing often requires the cause to be known and understood. Hypnotherapy can deal with the causes of problems, with related feelings and anxieties, replacing the emotional satisfaction the habit provided with desirable, beneficial alternatives. See regression. Sessions of hypnosis can also help you develop assertiveness, confidence and leadership. Hypnosis can help you become comfortable at meetings, speaking up and expressing your ideas. Hypnosis can help you to learn new skills, techniques, necessary to perform in advanced positions. And hypnosis can help you develope the communication abilities so vital in supervisory roles. Doors will open; opportunites will develope. And you will be ready, willing and able to fill the needs. The highest career incomes are found in sales. Yet job hunters avoid sales positions, particularly commissions sales. Why? Such positions involve contact and communications. These are areas which, for success, persistance and ability to view rejection as progress. All of these characteristics can be developed or enhanced through hypnosis. Hypnosis can provide a means to maintain the enthusiasm for success in sales. Hypnosis can improve athletic performance. There are four catagories that the hypnotist can deal with; goal setting, relaxation, concentration and rehearsal. Goals need to be written down; relaxation relieves tension; concentration removes distractions; mental rehearsing has proven more productive than physical practice. Hypnosis cannot make unskilled people into champions, but it can generate performance at or near "personal best" levels. Professional and Olympic athletes use hypnosis as part of their normal training with superb results. Mental processes do not remove the need for physical training and practice, but can maximize productive results. Hypnosis can be highly effective in dealing with children and their many problems such as bedwetting, anger, grief, school adjustments, study habits, memory, motivation, habit control, self-esteem, and many others. Once old enough to develop an attention span, children are usually very responsive to hypnosis. Children live in their imaginations. As they play and dream they become pilots, doctors, firefighters, athletes, etc. Their worlds are unlimited and very real. Childrent have vivid imaginations which make them ideal subjects for hypnosis. Strong or unwarranted criticism by parents or teachers can produce imprints (problems) in a child's mind that will create fears, phobias, bad habits, attitudes, etc. which can later require intense therapy. Hypnosis can convert potential dropouts to honor roll students with it's dramatic power. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Once learned and experienced, it is a powerful skill that can produce innumerable benefits and last a lifetime. There are numerous books, videos, DVD's advocating or explaning self-hypnosis. However, one-on-one instruction from a certified hypnotist trained in teaching self-hypnosis produces the best results. There are special techniques and reinforcement strategies that can substantially increase and accelarate effectiveness. Uses of self-hypnosis are endless, ask your hypnotist for more information. |
